May has been a very slow writing month for me. A VILE AND VENOMOUS WOMAN has been cooking with my beloved beta readers, who also have a lot going on in their own lives. The only progress that has been made with AVaVW by myself this month was adding all of the character art to the Projects page. I am definitely not a graphic designer…and it shows! :)

As many writers know, when writing is your true passion in life—your lifeblood, your cause, etc. etc.—having to sneak in writing while working a full-time day job can be a vexing and emotionally taxing experience. Nevertheless, I will press on to make my vision for the rest of my life a reality.

This month, I also loosely plotted the next books I intend to pursue traditional publication with. They are a romantasy trilogy that will be only 50% as dark as AVaVW and I’m sure will also undoubtedly profit from my increased skillset at the time of drafting. All I can say about this now is that it involves vampires and is being codenamed BLOOD ETCHED.

Most importantly, I am on the cusp of growing my family! In July I will be picking up a Rottweiler puppy from Idaho. This is a long-held dream of mine to have a dog I can compete in dog sports with, and Orion and I will pursue that dream together. Here is a photo of one of the puppies from the litter to round out this post! <3
