Happy Wednesday! I come bearing good news!
My current project A VILE AND VENOMOUS WOMAN has entered the first beta reading stage.
The book is still a far cry from being worthy of the public’s general eyes, but thanks to the work of my devoted and long-suffering friends (and my obliging sister), we have already found a slew of errors, mistakes, and general inconsistencies that I will work to rectify in upcoming drafts.
In the very first chapter, we found that a character who had been renamed between drafts 1 and 2 still moonlighted as “Hank” in draft 2. Hank will be no more come draft 3. But, who knows—Hank may go through yet another reinvention!
Books take teamwork to bring to fruition, even long before you have an agent. These early supporters mean the world to me. :)
I expect A VILE AND VENOMOUS WOMAN to take six to seven drafts before it will be ready for an agent’s attention. Until then, we press on!
